i think the oil companies are putting out this hysteria about peak oil to create artificial scarcity and increase their profits...but i'm all for ending the suburban dream (nightmare)! there is something far too limiting about such an existence. and i think it tends to drive one absolutely nuts in the end. it is definitely a sure-fire way to kill the human spirit and dull its naturally curious and creative faculties.
