GUNS SAVE LIVES!

July 18, 2007 - Wednesday

Guns Save Lives Vol 9
Category: News and Politics

Hello, Freedomphiles! Today's first story brings us to Eastern Kentucky, where a man named Oakie Fannin (insert Stienbeck pun here)...

...drove to the home of his ex-wife Tameila Burchett, just minutes after he called her and threatened her husband.

Authorities tell us that Fannin then drove through the yard, then turned and headed directly for Charles Burchett.

That's when Mr. Burchett fired several shots at Fannin in self defense, hitting him several times.

Police say Fannin wrecked not long after leaving the home.

Rectum?!? It damn-near killed em! (Har-har)

In the second story, a hotel clerk in North Charleston, who had been robbed nine days earlier, found himself face-to-face with (possibly) the same theif again:

A clerk at the America's Best Inn and Suites on Fain Drive in North Charleston says the suspect, identified as 20-year-old James Johnson, ran into the lobby and pointed something at him, demanding money. The clerk told police he kept a small pistol in his left pocket for protection, and that he pulled out the gun and fired twice.

It was the clerk who called 911 from the motel right after he shot the robbery suspect.

Police say the hotel employee had a legal right to carry the gun and defend himself...[and that] it's a case of self defense that might make would be bandits think twice.

Hell, maybe three times. Stay vigilant!
